"POISSON ISABELLA"
(Italian Cod)


Cod
Ingredients:

Filet of Cod (Thick Piece)
Marinara Sauce
Parmesan Cheese (Optional)
Directions:

Place Cod in frypan.
Cover with sauce
Sauté for 5 to 10 min. until flaky.

 
"SEEDLESS MARINARA ISABELLA"
(My recipe for Spaghetti Sauce for those who cannot tolerate seeds of any kind - and for those who can:)
 
Ingredients:

Olive Oil
Fresh Pork
Large Onion, Chopped
3 Cloves Garlic, Chopped
6 15oz. Cans Tomato Sauce (I prefer Hunts)
1 Can Tomato Paste
Italian Seasoning
Sugar
Pepper to taste
Optional: Small amount of Grated Cheese
Directions:

Cover large pan with olive oil.
Brown fresh pork and leave in sauce.
Brown chopped onion.
Add tomato sauce and tomato paste.
Let simmer till done (I do a lot of tasting.)

 
"STEW ISABELLA"
Ingredients:

1½ lbs. Good Stew Beef, Cubed
Olive Oil
Nice Chunk of Butter
1 Tbsp. Flour
1 Can Beef Consommé or Beef Broth
Large Onion, Cut Up
Carrots, sliced to bite size pieces
Potatoes, Cubed
Frozen Lima Beans
Frozen Peas
Vegetable Broth
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Directions:

Cover large pan bottom with olive oil and butter.
Put flour and beef in plastic bag and mix well.
Heat oil and butter and brown beef slowly.
Add consommé or broth.
Add onion, carrots and potatoes.
When they are done, add lima beans.
As stew thickens, add vegetable broth to your liking.
Add pepper.
Add salt, if needed.
Cook lima beans until tender.
At the very end, add frozen peas.
